Girl from Ipanema

I've always known Jerylle to navigate away from risks. He doesn't engage himself into something half-baked. Most of the time, his decisions are well-thought. He always anticipates, for example he leaves home 30 minutes before the agreed time, indeed a time-conscious, he's starting to rub it on me, he brings some senses to my imperceptibly of time.

H
e never gets me a gift on his own, he always asks me to choose, he buys it with me.

He perfectly knows how I WANTED a pair of Ipanema. I decided against buying it, after realizing that I don't NEED it. I'm trying to stick strongly to our conviction to save.

L
ast week, on our Sunday mall strolling, we were in SM with Sica. We went inside American Boulevard, they are selling Ipanemas. He asked me to get what I want, he'd buy it for me. For a quick moment, I wanted to grab the jewel-encrusted flip-flop and dash to the counter. But I refused the offer. Making myself believe that I don't need it.

H
e knows I still ache for it, every time I see it, the wanting revives, but I'm reconciled with the fact that the wanting will pass.

I
was in Ayala to meet a good friend from college. All along Jerylle and I were exchanging messages. He led me believe that after his shift he went home directly.

I called him, which I always does after his shift, making sure he's home safe. He asked the sizes of my "want list," I went along with him, I was pretty sure he wouldn't buy anything without me. The previous day he asked me what I wanted, I responded with the things I deemed I needed, Ipanema has been established as a WANT. He said, he'll buy me one from the list at the end of the month.

W
hen he asked for my size for Ipanema, I gave him the wrong figure (I wasn't even sure my size for the flip-flop) that made him panic and asked me if he has to return the pair in exhange of another size. I couldn't believe my ears. I wouldn't believe him,I thought he was pulling my leg.

J
anice came in the line and told me that Jerylle got me one. She went with the details how lovely the pair was, I repeatedly asked if he indeed got me an Ipanema. He knew I'll be in Ayala so after his shift he went to SM.

It was a pleasant surprise. I couldn't tear the smile off my face. He got me an Ipanema! What thrills me the most is the gesture. He took a gamble. He wasn't sure which color I wanted. He trusted his instinct. He choose the one I always wanted. He got the right size too.

I got an Ipanema on Mother's day☺ I got a white rose too☺
